Common questions
Are you a government agency?
No. We're an independent consulting firm. We help providers prepare for reviews by state agencies, payers, and accrediting bodies, but we don't license, certify, or approve anyone.
Is the consultation free?
Consultations are 30 minutes and cost $150. If you sign an engagement with us within 14 days, the full $150 is credited toward it. You’ll leave the call with a clear picture of your pathway and where to start.
How long does a review take?
Most readiness and compliance reviews are completed within about 10 to 15 business days after we receive a complete review package. Larger preparation and policy projects generally take several weeks. Expedited review is available for qualifying projects, based on scope and capacity.
When does my timeline start?
Your review period begins once your engagement is active and we've confirmed we have the materials needed to begin.
Can you speed up my license or approval?
No. Expedited service changes our internal scheduling only. Agency, payer, and accrediting-body timelines are outside our control, and we don't guarantee any approval or outcome.
Do you sign a business associate agreement?
Yes. We sign a BAA before reviewing any records that contain protected health information.
What does credentialing include, and how long does it take?
We set up or update each clinician’s CAQH profile, prepare and submit their payer applications, including Maryland Medicaid through MPRIME, and follow up with each payer until it makes a decision. Payers set their own processing times, which often run several months, and approval is always the payer’s decision.
Do I need an MPRIME account if I was already enrolled in ePREP?
Yes. Maryland Medicaid preloaded existing provider records into MPRIME, but every provider still has to create a new MPRIME account and connect to their record to make updates, revalidate, or keep affiliations current.
How is this different from a billing company?
Billing companies submit and chase claims. We focus on the documentation, policies, and processes that keep a program compliant in the first place.
